A private dermatologist consultation commonly costs RM 100–400, with extra charges for tests or procedures. Hospital specialist clinics are usually at the upper end. Government hospital dermatology is much cheaper but has longer waits.
Do I need a referral to see a dermatologist?
In private practice you can usually book directly. Insurers may require a GP referral for panel claims, and government hospitals require a referral letter.
